Sipan

Considered to be "The richest tomb discovery since Tutankamon". The treasures of "El Señor de Sipan", isplay all its grandeur. Discovered to the science by Peruvian archaeologist the diggings keep on going into the area of Tucume, a huge area where hundreds of were spotted pyramids will be found.


Most of the treasures in golden artifacts and the finest examples of pre-columbian jewelry ever found can be visited at the new Brunning Museum located nearby Chiclayo. What is remarkable is that you can visit not only the Tombs in which Dr. Alva and his team located the Moche Lords, but also keep a close touch with the research still taking place. Trujillo

Trujillo is a delightful city of old churches and graceful colonial balconies The town is surrounded by any pre-Inkaic, Mochica and Chimu sites of which Chan Chan - an enormous adobe city built by chimus in the 10th century - is the best example. To the south are the Moche temples of the Sun and the Moon, dating from Moche period ( 200 BC to 600 AC.)

Huaraz

Around this area we have the "Cordillera Blanca" a great trekkers destination. Amongst this range we have Huascaran, the highest tropical mountain range in the world (6,800 meters / 22,200 feet).

The spectacular scenery of the Huascaran National Park makes the area particularly attractive for climbers and hikers at every level of proficiency. Part of the journey should be the magnificent stone temple built in around 600 BC in Chavin The oldest Pre- Columbian high culture.

Lima

Peru is a country of contrasts and Lima encapsulates many of them. Called the "CITY OF THE KINGS" by the Spanish conquistadors in 1535. Today's Lima, combines traces of pre-Columbian civilizations at Pachacamac and Puruchuco, with extensive areas of elegant, romantic, colonial architecture and yet others of vibrant modernism.

There are sunny beaches ten minutes' drive from the city center, historical areas such as Barranco and Rimac, and dynamic, modern residential and business areas like Miraflores and San Isidro.

Paracas

The National wildlife reserve area of Paracas located nearby Ballestas Islands, is a great destination for nature lovers here you can see Flamingoes, Boobies, Humbold penguins and hundreds of sea lions.

The area was the site of the 800 BC. Paracas Culture which produced some of Peru's finest Pre-Inka textiles. Another Intriguing visit in the area is to the mysterious "Candelabro" a huge design etched into the desert hillside overlooking the bay.

Nazca


Nazca is most famous as the site of gigantic drawings and lines carved in to the desert's floor over an area of 52 sq. miles, some 7-8 hours drive south of Lima.

Best appreciated from the air, it is possible to fly from Lima, Ica or Nazca itself.
The surrounding area has many other attractions, such as the underground channel system at Orcona, ceremonial centers and artisan gold mills.

Ica


Built in a fertile valley and surrounded by sand dunes this city offers, archaeology, tradition, vineyards and fine museums.

Arequipa


Arequipa, is surrounded by a chain of snow-capped volcanoes which white lava has been used in its construction .

The remarkable convent of "Santa Catalina" (XVII century) was a citadel whose walls served as a life enclosure for the young nuns. Another great destination is the Colca Valley with its picturesque villages and well preserved Inka terracing.

Puno

Set at 3,800 meters (12,500) Puno is located on the shores of Lake Titikaka. The surrounding area is rich a in landscapes, wildlife and archaeological remains, folklore and legends. The Uros Indians, living on their unique floating reed islands, much of their way of living unchanged for centuries-, are said to be the direct descendants of the Inkas.

Visitors can tour the Taquile or Amantani island, where visitors wishing to stay overnight are welcome into the islanders' own huts.

Puno is also a great destination for Music and dance lovers. The festivals have a year round calendar. Visitors can reach Puno by plane, via Juliaca from Cusco, Arequipa or Lima, by paved road from Cusco, Arequipa or La Paz. The train journey form Cusco to Puno takes the traveler through magnificent mountain terrain and remote villages and can be continued by land or boat on to La Paz for those who wish to visit Bolivia.

Puerto Maldonado


Puerto Maldonado is located where the Madre de Dios and Tambopata rivers meet.It is an area of outstanding and unspoiled virgin jungle, near there superb jungle reserves, the Manu National Park, the Tambopata Wildlife Reserve, Bahuaja Sonene and the Rio Heath Pampas Sanctuary.

As you would expect, the wildlife here - both plant and animal - is of exceptional interest. The numbers of bird and butterfly species are world records. We have a wide variety of choices for jungle accommodations and travel experiences.

Kuelap


A mountaintop fortress city, rivals any ruins in the new world complete with living quarters for thousands of residents and a most impressive stone wall fortification reaching 60 feet high in circumference to the city.

Surrounding Kuelap lies the mountainous and remote Vilaya Region, recent research lead to the discovery of great structures and extensive cemeteries with lots of mummies.
