  • Quito is the capital, the second most populated city and one of the most beautiful of Ecuador.   • The Galapagos Islands are an archipelago formed by 13 major islands, 06 minor islands and 42 islets. The islands were formed 4 to 5 million years ago and represent now one of the most active volcanic bodies in the world. Its geographical location and the climatic conditions of the area, are the perfect habitat for amazing species: birds, reptiles, marine fauna, etc. They maintain a delicate balance so that the management of the islands and the access of visitors is very well regulated.   • Probably one of the most beautiful cities in Ecuador is Cuenca, Cultural Heritage of Humanity since 1999, due to the beauty of its colonial architecture where houses and churches stand out, and its archaeological remains (Pumapungo and Todos Santos). Easily accessible by air and land Cuenca awaits the traveler with the warmth of its inhabitants famous for their handicrafts, among which is the making of the toquilla straw hats, also known as the “Panama Huts”.
